I have always had a huge fear of the dentist. It goes back to childhood and some bad experiences I had. I grew up poor and you never really went to the dentist unless you had to have a tooth pulled. I had a tooth break literally in half but was still attached at the root. I was having no pain, but I was afraid it was going to break off and I had to do something about it. I called my insurance company and one of the dentists on my plan was Dr. K-D at Pearly Isles. I let her know how afraid I was of the dentist, but she was very, very nice about it. She made me feel calm and reassured me that everything was going to be okay, she even offered laughing gas just to help me calm down. She didn’t make me feel bad or put me down for neglecting my teeth for as long as I had. K-D is such an upbeat, positive person and always happy which made me comfortable because a lot of dentists are just all business and not that friendly.

She came up with a dental plan of the things I needed to get done. I had to have fillings, wisdom teeth pulled, and I have gum disease, so she had to do a deep cleaning and check my numbers, and I had to come back every 3 months. I have been going there now for I think at least 6 years. The more I went, the less fearful I was, and my teeth are in such better shape. My gum disease has improved to the level that I only have to come every 6 months now. When I go I’m not terrified anymore, and I thank her so much for everything she has done for me because I always wanted to go, I was just scared.

Anyway, I have recommended friends of mine and they have all had wonderful experiences as well. My sister had an issue with her tooth, and she took her right in the very day. Also, the dental hygienist Jessica cleaned my teeth was also very sweet and very reassuring. I would recommend K-D and her staff to anyone who needs a dentist because she is an excellent dentist.

Hi, I’m a patient of Dr. Keane-Dawes at Pearly Isles Dental. My experience has been excellent! The cleaning is always gentle. I’ve been a patient there for about 3 years and I have come to know Dr. Keane-Dawes as a fantastic dentist. I always follow her advice and could not be happier.

I had a tooth that had been bothering me for over 4 years. The pain was so severe that I stopped eating on the side of my mouth where the tooth was located. I saw other dentists who examined me, but could not figure out what was wrong. Dr. K-D examined me and performed an x-ray. She recommended I see an endodontist for a revision of my root canal. After the procedure, I was pain free! Now I can eat without pain. I will forever be grateful to Dr. K-D for taking the time to figure out what was going on.

Her office staff is friendly and very professional. I will recommend everyone to Dr. K-D as she truly cares about her patients and takes the time to properly diagnose them.

My wife is a patient of Dr. KD Pearly Isles Dental. This review is from her and in her words: I have been going to Pearly Isles for almost 10 years. I have always had a lot of dental issues and because of that, when I was employed, I’d make sure that my dentist was pretty much right next-door to my employment. My dentist was a very high-end dentist that treated performers from the Fox Theater. I believe they were known as the “dentist for the stars.” I was very, very scared and hesitant to change dentists when I retired, but I could no longer afford that dentist, because I did not have the workplace insurance along with FSA. However, my fears were soon overcome by the excellent service that I received beginning with my first visit at Pearly Isles.
